Low Power APS for 1,8kV Traction DC-Link

Roof Installation
The 2EM MS-170F-20D and 2EM MR-170F-20D auxiliary converters are specifically designed to be connected to the traction high voltage DC-Link.
The APS supplies AC 400V@50Hz 3phases + neutral, galvanically isolated, to the train auxiliary loads delivering a total power of 170kVA, and the DC loads (Essential and non-essential) plus battery charging at 110Vdc, delivering a total power of 20kW. The efficiency of the equipmnet is 92% from 50% of load to 100% of load.
The compact and low weight APSis installed on the roof. The APS is cooled by its integrated blower ventilating the IP20 compartment with magnetics and heatsinks, while all electronics and other components are installed in a clean IP65 section.
The converter is equipped with a 415Vac@50Hz Ac external workshop supply. This module allows to start up the battery charger and the rest of the AC loads without using the HV supply. The converter also integrates a precharge circuit, and an input filter.
