Underframe Installation
The 1CT MS-160F-25D auxiliary converters is specifically designed for rail vehicles working under 750Vdc supplied for catenary.
The APS supplies a galvanic isolated 400Vac@50Hz (3phases + neutral) to the train auxiliary loads, delivering a total power of 160kVA. It also supplies 110Vdc for train DC essential loads, non-essential loads and battery charging, delivering a total power of 25kW. The efficiency of the equipment is 92% from 50% to 100% of load.
The APS is installed underframe and it is forced ventilated using an special blower. The magnetics components are all located in an IP20 compartment, while the rest of electronic circuits and other power components are installed in a clean IP65 compartment both ventilated by the blower.
At the same time it is equipped with a 400 Vac@50Hz external workshop supply voltage, which is switched to 110 Vdc for emergency circuits in the train. The converter also integrates a precharge circuit, and an input filter as part of its power electronic.

APS for 600VDC catenary

Underframe Installation
The 600 Vdc 16kVA/25kW static converter is specifically designed for rail vehicles working under 600 Vdc HV supplied from catenary.
It can operates under a range of voltages from 450Vdc to 780Vdc. It supplies AC 120V@60Hz single phase voltage for train auxiliary loads, delivering a total power of 16kVA, and the DC loads plus battery charging at 37,5 Vdc with a total power of 25kW.
It also contains an internal 600V Power Supply module to start the LVPS in case of discharged battery (Dead Battery Start Function).
The APS is installed underframe and it is naturally ventilated by using heatsinks. The magnetic components are located in an IP20 compartment, while the rest of the electronic circuits and other power components are installed in a clean IP65 compartment.

Underframe Installation
The 2CT MS-170F-20D auxiliary converters is specifically designed for rail vehicules working under 1500Vdc catenaries.
The APS supplies AC 400V@50Hz 3phases + neutral, galvanically isolated, to the train auxiliary loads delivering a total power of 165kVA, and the DC loads (Essential and non-essential) plus battery charging at 110Vdc, delivering a total power of 20kW. The efficiency of the equipment is 92% from 50% of load to 100% of load.
The APS is installed underframe and it is naturally ventilated by using heatsinks. The magnetic components are located in an IP20 compartment, while the rest of the electronic circuits and other power components are installed in a clean IP65 compartment.
The converter is equipped with a 400Vac@50Hz Ac external workshop supply. This module allows to start up the battery charger and the rest of the AC loads without using the HV supply. The converter also integrates a precharge circuit, and an input filter.
